"||" instead of "|*|" does the trick.

NO.allWrap = <li class="first">|</li> || <li class="two">|</li> || <li
class="three">|</li> || ...

You have to set both "backColor" and "transparentColor" to the same
value. That will make the image transparent but the text will have an
"edge" (=antialiasing).
