What is the minimum recommended database size to run Typo3?
I am building a typo3 site for a customer, but he has only 2 mb space on his web hotel for mysql. My fresh installation with a few pages, phpmyadmin and templavoila use 6.0 MB database after clearing FE cache. Is it possible to reduce the db requirement that far or do he need to switch to a better web hotel? _______________________________________________ TYPO3-english mailing list TYPO3-english (AT) lists (DOT) netfielders.de http://lists.netfielders.de/cgi-bin/.../typo3-english |

TYPO3 is enterprise-level CMS. If you use enterprise-level CMS, you must have enterprise-level hosting for it. -- Dmitry Dulepov TYPO3 core team Web: http://typo3bloke.net/ Skype: callto:liels_bugs "Nothing is impossible. Hi Dmitry,
I'm sorry, checked with the hosting company and the 2 mb stuff was a typo from their side. It was 2 db, not 2 mb. 2 decabytes?! No no, that would have to be "2 daB" as "deca" is "da" and "byte" is "B". Let's get this clear. ![]() "d" means "deci", "b" means "bit". So... 2 db = 2 decibits = 0.2 bits Tomas Mrozek -- References: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SI_pref...of_SI_prefixes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit#Abbreviation.2Fsymbol _______________________________________________ TYPO3-english mailing list TYPO3-english (AT) lists (DOT) netfielders.de http://lists.netfielders.de/cgi-bin/.../typo3-english |
