TYPO3 Mailingliste: nicht fragen - lesen!

Hi,
Im having trouble setting up indexed search. For some reason the
'search' feature will not find any of the results that should be
available to it. After reading the manual several times, trying anything
I can think of, I have run out of time.

If anyone would be willing to help me with this I will gladly pay for
the time, as I need this going now. And I imagine that it is something
I am not seeing anyways, so shouldn't take too long.

If anyone is available and interested between 7 - 10 AM EST (-5:00),
please reply to this message.

Hi!
As some standard questions:

Did this happen for a long time or did it just stop working? If the
later: Did you install any extension in the last few days?

I assume that your cache is not working correctly.

I dont know that it ever worked. it is a new install (4.0.6)

how would I know if the cache is or isnt working properly?

I can check in
INFO > (homepage) > INDEXED SEARCH
and it lists the pages, and many have entries for being indexed, so it
seems liek that is working. But when I try and perform a search on
frontend, no results appear.

I have read in search manual, and in config it says that for the
configuration
search.rootPidList if that setting is less than zero (-1) then searching
will happen in all pages of tree...

I have set that setting to -1, and still it doesnt fix the issue.


Any other suggestions?

they are viewed (as expected?)

my other site running 4.0.6 search does work.

is indexed search buggy on 4.0.6 compared to 4.1.1 ?

Im afraid upgrading will break my site otherwise, which might be a
problem ;-)

That my only recourse left?

Noticed that in fact, nothing was getting thru to the search plugin.
When the search was sent, the page reloaded and reset.

checked and saw some errors in realurl log

it seems that /search/ is not too well liked in real url.

renaming the page (and therefore the link / url in the mod_rewrite)
seems to have fixed the issue.
