TYPO3 Mailingliste: nicht fragen - lesen!

Hi all,
In the Install documentation a number of symbolic links should be
present in the source tar.gz files, but unpacking them or doing a list
(tar -tvf typo3src >tar-log) doesn't provide any symlinks. Do the typo3
source still contain symbolic links, are they used for anything or is
the install documentation out of date ?

4.0.2/4.0.3 does not contain any symlinks, the RELEASE_NOTES.txt says:

"* Starting with TYPO3 4.0beta3, internal symlinks are not used
anymore. This means, that there will be no symlinks inside the
typo3_src/ folder. However, some extensions are not correctly
adopted to the new scheme, therefore you may want to add the
symlinks again to prevent any problems."

It is the dummy package, which contains the symlinks.
