Hello

Why is there a different behaviour of archive if I have it before or
after the list item.

I have one page called old news and it is a three column one. So in the
middle one I have a news item showing only LIST (SHOW ARCHIVED). Then in
the right column I have news item AMENU (don't care).

In april I have 16 news so far and the middle column shows 10 news as I
have set it to do and the next 6 are if I press page 2. But the problem
is because the AMENU is in the right column it shows "apríl 2008: 6
items" and if I press page 2 then it changes to "apríl 2008: 10 items"
this is the number that are not shown in the middle column. Hope you are
following.

If I on the other hand move the news item from the right column to the
left column then it shows the number of the Archived news 16 for April
and don't change if I go to see the next 6 news.

So why is this, is this a bug or am I doing this the wrong way.

Just a guess. Could it be that you have excludeAlreadyDisplayedNews = 1?

Yes I have, but what should that have to do with the problem I am
describing?

OK, I see now that this is the reason, this is happening because of
excludeAlreadyDisplayedNews = 1.

Does it then show all items in the left column because it is rendered
first on the homepage. before the middle column?

Yes. The whole point of this setting is that it allows to put the
tt_news plugin several times on the same page to produce different
layouts, for example, but avoiding to repeat the same news items.

ok, thanks

Then I will solve this problem by setting excludeAlreadyDisplayedNews =
0 only for the page that is showing archived news.
