There's the marker ###PRODUCT_INSTOCK### to show in the
frontend, how many products are in stock.

but is there a similar marker for articles, too? I've tried
###ARTICLE_INSTOCK### but it doesn't work.

From version tt_products up to 2.6.x you do not have the
###ARTICLE_...### markers. They are only used in
###ARTICLE_LIST_TEMPLATE### for the article list.

Only in versions > 2.7.0 you can use also article markers in all views,
except the basket views. These are used to display the article of the
currently selected product variant.
