Even with mbi_products_categories (extended version) the field category
of the table tt_products contains a value. How or where is it written, and what is it for, what does it mean? Thanks for any hints. Is it important, that this number is correct? Where is it used?

I think it should be sufficient if it is not 0 when there are entries in the mm table.
